After reading Jared's latest blog on TNT, I thought I'd give you guys an insight into the soccer madness here in Korea. Everyone is a soccer fan here when World Cup fever hits. The world really seems to stop here when the games begin. I thought I'd share some of the excitement.

This picture is a banner that is hanging over a department store in Seoul. "Fighting" is a word the Koreans believed the American's used as a war-cry before they fought and the expression stuck, so the word is found on most World Cup banners throughout the cities. Many Koreans even chant it in bars before taking a drink, much like our "cheers."

Here the fans are called "Red Devils" and are found everywhere wearing the Red Devil Jersey and little devil horns, however, the soccer team is actually the "Asian Tigers," and some of these jerseys are worn as well by fans, but the most popular ones seem to be the "Red Devil" jerseys.

It seems you cannot get away from the soccer fever. Every restaurant, department and convenience store, even the subway stations are playing the games on TV. You can hear screams of excitement everywhere when a game is on.

You can check out this website for more information on the Asian Tigers:

Watch for the Asian Tigers in this years World Cup!!!
