On Friday night Cesa and I were feeling somewhat adventurous, and decided to try and find the market that stays open 24hrs. We left around 11:30pm and met at Seoul Station, from there we walked around in many circles around Seoul in search for this so called “market.” Finally, around 1:45ish we decided to hailed a cab and got dropped off. The market was pretty much underwear, bed sheets, toiletries and clothes for older women, BUT somehow Cesa and I managed to find the classiest hats in the market and we decided to make our first “couple” purchase.

Here in Korea, couple clothes, couple rings, couple watches, couple anything is in for couples, so Cesa and I decided to hop on the bandwagon and get our own stuff sice we are always together. We bought some HOT “players” hats, classy classy classy!!!! LOL, we also found some HOT thong underwear for men with an elephants head in the front and a trunk as well! LOL, it was a fun trip, while we had to take a $30 cab ride home at 3am, the hats made it worth it!

CANADA DAY ~ A special day when people of all different cultures, races, nationalities come together and celebrate the birth of one of the greatest countries on earth! :) It’s just too bad that my answer to EVERYONES question “Where are you from?” always gets the same response: “Really?? You don’t look Canadian.” Sigh…....lol. Anyway, Cesa and I ate dinner at out usual spot in Gwangnamun and headed down to Itaewon to have a beer at one of the Canadian bars. We stopped in the Rocky Mountain Tavern, but it was too packed, so we headed to Gecko’s. We found a small table near the pool tables and we both had our first Molson Canadian beer! (Yes, it’s true, I’m Canadian and it was my first Molson!) Around 1:30am we decided to head back to Gwnagnamun to catch the last bus to Ilsan. We waited and waited, a bus arrived and everyone waiting got on, everyone except us. We were waiting for a different bus #, but apparently that was the last bus for the night pulling away. We should have gotten the hint when EVERYONE waiting got on….....BUT you know how it is after 2 Molson’s, lol. So…....we missed the last bus to Ilsan and we refused to spend another $30 on a cab ride home. So what can you do in downtown Seoul at 3am you ask??? Well, you can wander the streets, which is what we did for a little while….OR…you can settle in at a PC room! So we decided to stick with the later and wait until the buses start running again, which is at 5:30am. So that’s not too bad, only about 3 hours on a computer, I wasn’t all that tired either so we decided to go for it! After about 20mins I was exhausted and out of things to do online, I had checked my email about 15 times and stared at my myspace page for a looooooong time as well, and messaged almost everyone on it. The manager there was very interested in us and bought us each two juices and asked us as many questions as he could in english.

Finally, 5 o’clock rolled around and we stepped out into the daylight and walked BACK to the bus stop.

We got home around 5:45am and slept till 12 o’clock. We woke up and headed back to Itaewon, smelly, unshowered and sleepy-eyed, all just to make it back to Gecko’s before 2:30pm in time to get breakfast! We got to Gecko’s at 2:31 and begged them to serve us breakfast, and with our good looks and charm we got it!!! Delicious stuffed french toast!!!!!!

Here I am finally gettin home on Sunday to rest.....

It was a looooong weekend, but it was another great adventure in Korea!
